1969 MGB Roadster
The MGB Roadster was first launched in 1962. It was really popular
with European buyers and sold extremely well. The MGB Roadster had
just 13% staying with the UK market. Europe had the remaining
percentage available.
The MGB Roadster has extremely supportive bucket seats and Sparco
harnesses keeping you in at speed. There is a stunning Mota Lita
wooden steering wheel that feels great to touch when driving. The
performance of this car is amazing for its age. There is a throttle
pedal that travels a long way to the floor.
Once you flick the fuel pump switch and push the start button, the
exhaust roars into life. Starting from cold, the engine does labour a
little due to a long-duration sports cam. This just allows you to
give the car a few quick blasts of throttle until things calm down.
The seats and steering wheel do give a sense of comfort and
practicality. Gear changes take a reassuring effort but change
happily at speed.
There are no bangs or rattles, everything feels like new and tight.
This car is a full race-prepared road car that will put a smile on
any face. The MGB Roadster is a classic sports car that you can be
proud of.
