The DAF 66 was a small motor vehicle produced by the Dutch company DAF in the 1970s. It replaced the DAF 55 and like its predecessor used a Renault 1108cc 4-cylinder water-cooled engine. DAF's car operations were subsequently purchased by Volvo Cars and the model carried on as the Volvo 66. DAF's truck division remains in business today as DAF Trucks, although it too has been bought out, this time by Paccar.
The DAF 66 – in common with other DAF cars – featured a "Variomatic" (continuously variable transmission).
