TVR 1300
In 1971 TVR attempted to produce an "economy" sports model, the 1300. The TVR 1300 used a Vixen bodyshell as its base platform and combined this tried and tested chassis with a Triumph Spitfire 1296cc engine. The Spitfire engine came in standard, twin carb, 63bhp tune and provided the car with "modest" performance, most cars have been subsequently modified!
Unfortunately the TVR 1300 failed to catch the publics imagination and only 15 cars were ever completed during it's twelve month production run.
